Hannah & James - A Beautiful Rainy Wedding at St. Julians, Sevenoaks
Some weddings are grand celebrations with hundreds of guests, while others are intimate, heartfelt, and full of meaningful moments. Hannah and James' wedding at St. Julians in Sevenoaks was exactly that—a beautiful, elegant celebration surrounded by the people who mean the most to them.
Although the weather had other plans, with rain falling throughout the day, it only added to the atmosphere. There's something incredibly romantic about a rainy wedding day, and Hannah and James embraced every moment with huge smiles and so much joy.
Travelling Home from Canada
One of the most special parts of their story is that Hannah and James now live in Canada. Despite building their life overseas, they wanted to return home to Kent to celebrate their wedding ceremony with their closest family and friends.
It was a wonderful reminder that weddings aren't about the location or the weather—they're about the people you choose to share the day with.
An Elegant Ceremony at St. Julians
Nestled in the Kent countryside, St. Julians provided the perfect setting for such an intimate wedding. The elegant surroundings and peaceful atmosphere created a beautiful backdrop for the ceremony.
With a smaller guest list, every conversation, every hug, and every smile felt that little bit more personal. The day unfolded at a relaxed pace, allowing everyone to simply enjoy being together.
Making the Most of the Rain
Rain on your wedding day often worries couples, but as a wedding photographer, I always remind my couples that some of my favourite photographs have been taken on rainy days.
The soft light creates beautiful skin tones, colours become richer, and with a few umbrellas and a sense of adventure, we were able to capture some timeless portraits around the venue. Hannah and James never let the weather dampen their spirits, and that's exactly what made the photographs feel so genuine.
A Day Filled with Love
From emotional moments with family to quiet moments shared between the newlyweds, the entire day felt relaxed, joyful, and full of love.
It was such a privilege to capture these memories for Hannah and James before they return to Canada to begin the next chapter of their lives together.
Congratulations again to you both—I wish you a lifetime of happiness and many adventures ahead.
